As time clicks, we are losing a life. Like right now.
Those people who have lost their lives were not bad. They were good people, suffering in pain for a long time. They were not weak. They were just helpless.
They probably thought if they could numb themselves, they could shut down the screaming voices in them. Probably they tried all their means and didn't know where to reach out for help anymore. And they give up.
Sadly, all these lives could have been saved. If they were given the assurance of HOPE. HOPE underpins the recovery process for mental illness.
The journey of recovery is an ongoing and personal process that aims to allow
a person to have a satisfying life despite the limitations posed by their mental condition. Several factors are important in permitting it, ranging from learning how to manage one's condition to improving self-esteem, etc.
However, the central tenet in recovery is hope; it is the catalyst for change and the enabler of the other factors involved in recovery to take charge.
With Hope, one can create positive impacts in their life.
With Hope, one gains the strength to cope with adversity in life.
And with Hope, one gains the courage to seek aspiration and awe in life.
At The Happiness Project, we believe there is always hope, even in the darkest times.
Recovery is real, and anyone can live a self-directed life and strive to reach their full potential.
Such recovery grows out of hope. And that is why all our recovery treatments incorporate the elements of hope and optimism.
Apart from diagnosing and educating patients and clients on mental health,
we also empower them to create the pathways that are central to the model of hope.
With hope, we empower them to restore their faith in themselves and unlock their happiness.
“ There is HOPE for the future, there is POWER in the present ”
